Centre for Plasma Studies (CPS), Jadavpur University (JU), Kolkata will be held on 07 September, 2024 at the Seminar Hall, Calcutta Mathematical Society; AE 374, Sector-I, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700064, India.
Late Prof. Mithil Ranjan Gupta was an inspiration to the generations of young students and research workers in the fields of Nonlinear Science, Fluid Mechanics and Plasma Physics.
On the occasion of Prof. Gupta’s 93rd birth anniversary which falls on 04th August, a National Seminar in his memory is being jointly organized by Advanced Centre for Nonlinear and Complex Phenomena (ACNCP), Kolkata and Calcutta Mathematical Society (CMS), Kolkata in collaboration with the Centre for Plasma Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata to be held on 07th September, 2024 (Saturday) in offline mode.

In the seminar, 9th M. R. Gupta Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Prof. Ramesh Narayanan, Department of Engineering Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India.
Call for Abstracts:
For contributory presentation in the Seminar, research papers are invited in the fields of Nonlinear & Complex Phenomena with special emphasis in the areas of Plasma Physics, Fluid Dynamics, Astrophysics and Biological Sciences. Faculty members, Research Scholars, members of CMS, members of ACNCP, and all other interested persons are cordially invited to participate and contribute papers.
All are requested to register their names at an early date. Prior registration is mandatory for participation. Registration is free of charge. Due to limited time slots only a few numbers of abstracts will be considered for oral presentation.
Prof. M. R. Gupta memorial prize(s) will be awarded to the best paper presenters among the young contributors below the age of 35 years.
Each presenter will get 20 minutes time for oral presentation.
